About the Artist Alpana
''My artistic vision is to capture nature that surrounds me.Nature is my inspiration and animals--my love.
I paint in several mediums, but water colours remain my favourite.
I grew up in India and have been greatly influenced by the devotional energy I saw around me.I have endevoured to put a contemporary form to the Hindu Gods.
Living in Singapore for 8 years ,I have been painting and exhibiting actively. Painting the human figure and experimenting with mixed media is my current passion.
I spend a significant amount of time teaching children/adults and helping them unfold their hidden artistic expression.''
