From the brochure---''Since the formative years of her life, Alpana Ahuja has been feeding her intensive passion in art through experimentations in acrylics, mixed media, oils and fabric paints. The subjective concept of nature, rules as her creative inspiration. Since the past 24 years, Alpana has been wearing many creative hats. She is a textile designer, an illustrator of 10 books for children [printed in Singapore] and a freelance artist who was trained in the Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts [Singapore] for 2 years.

About the collection ''through her 'Colours of Devotion' series of paintings,Alpana shares the inspiration that she attained through her personal encounters withthe ancient statues of Ganesha in Southeast Asia. The use of watercolour,gold leaf, acrylic and oil pastel, lends an earthen extravagance to the series.
