In April 2012, our school had the extreme pleasure to welcome Alpana Ahuja as a guest artist and illustrator to speak to the students and offer a fun session of art instruction. Miss Ahuja is a wonderfully gifted artist and her professionalism shows when she is with an audience. It was a special opportunity for our students to learn about her background as an illustrator and an animal activist.

Students at our school were captivated by her warm & inspiring talk about animals and her experiences as an artist. Her art workshop was amazing where our students learned to illustrate beautiful pictures as seen in her books. Her approach to creating art gave our students the confidence and skills to further enrich their art making. It was truly fantastic to participate in her presentation and everyone walked away a better artist.

It was a memorable day for us all to have such an amazing and talented illustrator come and visit at our school all the way from Singapore. We dearly hope to invite Ms Ahuja back again in the future.
